Being so old built in the 15th century. I was told it was standing when Cromwell was still around. There is an old Abby near by
and the cottage was used as what they called a Monk's rest, where any traveling Monks would sleep. None of the rooms walls were straight, nor were the floors level, but I loved it. We lived there for 17years...
What brought all this nostalgia on! A plant! This plant!
We bought the house with the carpets and curtains, but my Dad decided that it need some plants sitting in the window sills to make it looked lived in. He took this plant down to the house. I have never repotted it, it's just as he did it for me, and every year it flowers just like now. My Dad died in early 1980. So when my plant flowers, it's like having him around again for a short while..
