This is the GM Overhere Quilt - Scraps & Stitches
This is the GM Overhere Quilt
I had a trip to Norfolk a couple of weeks ago,too pick up the quilt. This guy quilted it for me. He has done a great job.
I have spent the afternoon sewing the binding and getting the quilt all finished...

I wasn't sure I could pull it off, when Rae said she would like to see a quilt done in black and white.. At first I thought No that's not going to work with colour photo's. But thinking on it. I thought if I just used a one colour on the photo's I could make it work. So pale blue was used, and it has made a great looking quilt.
I did cheat on one photo. I had to keep all the colours in Blair's waistcoat.
Once again I have to thank the two ladies who have done a great job on the photo's for me, Peter Neverland and LitGal. I could not make these quilts without there help.
So if you are coming to the Con in October, you might need to make room in your suitcase to take this home with you, if your number is pulled out of the hat..

Wow! Beautiful, really beautiful. The black and white works well, and I agree, the colours definately need to be in Blair's waistcoat.

::Crosses fingers for number::

Thank you for sharing a preview with us.

Thank you! I was so unsure when I started it..I had read about making a B/W quilt, they even have special pattern book's just for the B/W ones. Sounded like it was something not to be undertaken. I am pleased what I did turned out...

When Rae said she would like to see a B/W quilt I thought, s--t! I didn't think I could make that work. In my minds eye it didn't look right B/W fabric's and colour photo's... Had a long think about it, and came up with using just the one colour blue for Garett's eye's. I am so pleased it worked..
I hope they feel a little lucky, who ever win's.
