Has been a while since I posted anything to my journal, but I have been so busy.
Have now completely finished the latest Sentinel quilt and it is on it's way to the new owner. Posting a photo I think it looks allot different now it's quilted ( one of my cat's thought it looks good)

I have two more quilts on the go right now, One a photo quilt for a girl in the States, and one I am going to try a different way of quilting it. 'called quilt as you go' you put the sandwich together in sections quilt it then sew it all together add your borders & * presto * a quilt, if I can get it to work. A long-arm quilting system would be better but I don't have £5,000 to spare right now..

It is such a nice day here, I think I had better get onto the veggie garden for a while & see if I can sort it out as well.

That's just gorgeous! I like the way the cat is off to the side admiring it, too.

I can never fool the cat! She always knows when there is a quilt about. I was looking at some quilt tops that I made ages ago & never completed, trying to decide which one I wanted to quilt next. She was down stairs sleeping, the next thing I knew she was in the middle of what I was looking at, and it's always the same, she just knows somehow.

A true artist!

As the proud owner of the pictured Sentinel quilt, I just wnat to thank Janet again for accepting the commission, for being such a delight to "collaborate" with to bring the idea to fruition. Janet is an exceptional artist with fabric and thread, and a true pleasure to deal with. She gave graciously of her time and talent, and I'm priveleged to be the owner of one of her masterpieces.

The quilt arrived Friday 9/8/06 in Washington State after being picked up in England on Wednesday at lunch time! Can't beat that kind of service!

Thanks Janet, so much again! Once I have the quilt up on display, I'll be sure to send you a photo!

Hugs,

Lisa Adolf

Thank you Patt! Taking the day off tomorrow. Going to jump on one of our bikes & head to the coast for the day. Fall is coming, so have to ride while the weather is good.
