Feels good
being able to post a photo of a quilt again. This took me a long time to finish, with hurting my neck I wasn't able to work but a very short time each day.
What my Niece wanted was southwest looking, and horses. I think I was able to get the look she was after. She was very pleased with it anyway. I am not even going to try and tackle the quilting myself, it's much to big for my machine to handle, plus I don't want to set my neck healing back again.. So off to the pro's with it next week..

That's lovely! The fabric with the pictures of horses is very interesting, and I like the border you've done with it.

Thanks! My Niece found the horse fabric for the center then asked me to come up with the rest. I found the pattern I thought would work in a magazine. Pleased to say it did work very well.

I can well believe she loved it! The colors are perfect for the southwest, right done to the turquoise of the jewellry and reddish brown tones of the earth.

You do such lovely work!

Pretty amazing! I would love to be able to quilt one day. I would need a much bigger house though.

Great job! ;-) :-)

Thank you! I must admit my sewing room is quite big and very full.

it's gorgeous. i've just started my first quilting project - very nervously and with a lot more care than i usually take in sewing. i'm in awe of your skill.

Thank you! I hope your project goes well. You really do have to be very careful when cutting your fabric and that all important
1/4 inch seam is a must. Even a hair over and things can go very wrong.

Thank you! Is your friend still quilting?

How lovely of you to remember her! She was still quilting - very slowly - until a couple of months ago when her pregnancy ate her brain! And of course, now she's got the babe, every waking second is full of being a mum. I think she'll go back to the quilting in time though - the bug seemed to have bitten her.

Quilting is like malaria, once you catch the quilting bug you can't shake it off.

Hee! So far I've avoided infection, but I have developed an alarming habit of hanging out at various quilting blogs... ::iz on the slippery slope::
