I started reading book 1 yesterday afternoon.... 159 pages later I had to put it down and go to bed was getting much to late.

This is a vampire book like no other I have read...Set in todays world with all the wars that are going on right now. I just hope it wont take to long for book 2 to arrive.

Book 1
Blood Oath

Christopher Farnsworth

Zach Barrows is a cocky, ambitious White House employee until he’s abruptly transferred
out and partnered with Nathaniel Cade, a secret agent sworn to protect the president.
But Cade is no ordinary civil servant. Bound 140 years ago by a special blood oath,
Nathanial Cade is a vampire.
On the orders of the president he defends the nation against enemies far
stranger—and even more dangerous—than civilians like Zach could ever imagine

Book 2
The President's Vampire
Christopher Farnsworth

The ultimate secret. The ultimate agent. Nathaniel Cade returns.
For 140 years, Nathaniel Cade has been the President’s Vampire, sworn to protect and serve his country.
Cade’s existence is the most closely guarded of White House secrets: a superhuman covert
agent who is the last line of defense against nightmare scenarios that ordinary citizens only dream of.
When a new outbreak of an ancient evil—one that he has seen before—comes to light,
Cade and his human handler, Zach Barrows, must track down its source.
To “protect and serve” often means settling old scores and confronting new betrayals . . .
as only a centuries-old predator can.

Mmmm - that sounds good - but do I dare buy any more books right now? ::eyes tottering 'to read' heap:: Oh heck, the nice thing about books is, they don't go off!

This was a good book. I haven't read a 344 page book so fast in years. The last book I couldn't put down either, was Fair Game by Josh Lanyon. My reader had a good work out thats for sure.

I'm weak-willed! I needed to do an Amazon order for somebody else anyway, so I kind of added it on... oops! *g*

I have no restraint when it comes to books. Both my sisters have learned not to let me go in a book store while out.
I hope you enjoy as much as I did. I'm still waiting for book two to arrive..
I get an update of what new from here once a month and they will also let you know when an author has a new book out.

Thanks for the link - that looks really good. I'll sure I'll use it.

Likewise - books are my drug of choice. *g* I have no restraint either, and bookshops are almost my favourite place on earth. My only saving grace is living in a small cottage - some self-control is necessary because there just isn't that much room, no matter how cunning my plans for extra bookshelves.

When I lived in my cottage I had to be good as well. That's what I loved about this house. All the floor to ceiling shelf units I could have...
I have just received book two. On the back cover it says that book one has been optioned for a movie. As I was reading I thought it would make a good movie.

What fun if they make a movie, and you spotted the potential first!

My book hasn't turned up yet, but a brochure for more bookshelves has... oops!
