Little bruised and Mad! - Scraps & Stitches
Little bruised and Mad!
Just venting here a little! Yesterday we got on one of our bikes GSX 1400, went off to Cadwell for a little club racing. Was a beautiful warm day had a great time. We nearly made it home. Crossing the A17, which is a very busy road following this guy and a learner on her new bike. We got to the central reservation she looked and headed out, there was nothing coming, we looked started across but the stupid bitch stopped! We swerved to avoid her, cause we went down, bike and all with a bang. God! I could of strangled her! Would of if they had stayed around to give a hand and make sure we were ok.

Anyway we got the bike up, but it wouldn't start thought we had oil in something we shouldn't have. So had to push it of the main road and wait for a tow truck. We are ok a little stiff and bruised banged up my right hand and arm, but I will get over it.

So today Vern is looking on the net to find the parts we need to replace on the bike. Didn't do to much damage, it's just little things, new brake lever it snapped in half, indicater light, some covers, plus other stuff.

Just really pissed me of that they just left!!

Good grief! How could they just leave you like that? Grrrrr!

Glad you're mostly ok. Take/rub on lots of arnica if you have it... ::hugs you carefully::

I'm so glad you're both okay and the bike isn't too bad either. It's still a shock. It's so very annoying when people are that ignorant, cause a massive problem and then leave you to it. Gits.

Were they from a bike school or just him taking his girlfriend out? If it's the former, could you trace them? If it's the latter, I would think they are local and one day soon, you'll probably come across them again. Maybe you can get to talk to them then and point out a bit of common courtesy...

Take care

I could not believe they just looked back saw us pushing the bike of the highway, then left us. Pretty sure it was a guy & girlfriend, we might see them again. I am so used to biker's looking out for each other. We're ok, stiff and bruised but we will mend as will the bike.

How awful to leave you like that. Not good at all. What a fright you must have had.

Glad both of you are ok (apart from bruises and bangs) though.

The bike can be fixed fortunately. Not always so easy with people.

Look after yourselves and hope you feel better soon.

Sending virtual hugs and good vibes your way.

Was a bit of a shock to hit the pavement like that. At least nobody ran over us while we were down. We're getting there.

Oh, geez, Janet, I'm glad the two of you are okay! Could have been so much worse!

Can't believe that woman didn't stop to ensure you were alright or to help. Or, if not her, the guy she was with. People can be so unbelievably self-absorbed. ::shakes head::

Mostly bikers look out for each other, but not this pair. I understood she was nervous but you don't just ride away when people are down.
We're ok! My right hand got the worst of the damage, but it really is only badly bruised knuckle on my little finger.
It could of been allot worse.

Geez, Janet, I can't believe people like that! It completely sucks that that happened to you but I just so grateful it wasn't worse. Ouch!

In other news, my bag is here! It wouldn't fit in my tiny mailbox so I had to pick it up at the post office today. And it's gorgeous, Janet, thanks so much. I can see what you mean about how much it can hold. It's going to be so handy and I know I will be taking it everywhere!

We're ok! Just moving a little slower.

Glad you got your bag.

No wonder you're angry. I hate it when things like this happen! They were probably thinking of avoiding paying for any damages, instead of being decent enough to check whether you were ok.

I'm so glad you and Verne are ok, even if a little banged up. It could have been so much worse. (snailbones's suggestion re arnica is good. That stuff really helps.) As for the bike, I hope you get it as good as new soon. You both obviously love your bikes/cars, my husband is the same. He can never stand to have something that's not in perfect order.

Take care.

It was either not wanting to pay damages, or she had no licence & insurance. But even so you don't leave people when they are down.
Bike will mend! But like your husband, Vern like every thing to stay like new.
